Nominator's project description
| Professor Paul Braun is a world leader in the field of Materials Science and Engineering with a special focus on the fabrication and characterization of complex multifunctional three-dimensional nano- and microstructures as well as novel nanostructured batteries, and self-healing and bioinspired autonomous materials. During his stay in Germany, he focuses on combining his expertise on bottom-up synthesis and chemical methods with top-down nanostructuring and physical effects. This should lead to novel applications of metamaterials, such as large-area waveplates and nanosensors. |
